About Kala Mandir

Kala Mandir on Shakespeare Sarani is one of central Kolkata's most-booked private auditoriums and a regular stop for touring acts. Ticketing listings for the hall cover Hindi and English stand-up specials, ghazal and film-music concerts, dance productions, Hindi plays and school and corporate functions. In April 2026, for instance, the city's comedy calendar had Ravi Gupta's show in the main hall, while the smaller Kala Kunj auditorium in the same complex hosted a Swati Sachdeva show and a newcomers' line-up on the same weekend. Listings name either hall, so check which one your ticket is for. The address is in the office and consulate district between Park Street and AJC Bose Road.
