Things to do in Camac Street & Theatre Road

South of Park Street, the grid around Camac Street (officially Abanindranath Thakur Sarani) and Shakespeare Sarani, which older residents still call Theatre Road, holds some of the city's most-booked ticketed halls. Kala Mandir on Shakespeare Sarani takes touring stand-up specials, music concerts and Hindi and English plays, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations on Ho Chi Minh Sarani runs exhibitions, talks and recitals in its galleries and auditorium. Offices, consulates, boutiques and cafés fill the rest of the grid. Maidan and Rabindra Sadan on the Blue Line are the nearest stations, each roughly a 10 to 15 minute walk from most addresses here.
