Things to do in Kasba, Ruby & Anandapur

The southern stretch of the Bypass around the Ruby crossing has grown into a second city centre of offices, hospitals and apartment towers. Acropolis Mall at Rajdanga in Kasba is the neighbourhood's weekend default, with a multiplex and regular atrium events. At Anandapur, the Kolkata Centre for Creativity shares a building with the Emami Art gallery and runs exhibitions, workshops, talks and performances through the year, many of them free. Kishore Bharati Krirangan at Mukundapur, a 12,000-capacity stadium, hosts Calcutta league football. Hemanta Mukhopadhyay station on the Orange Line stands at the Ruby crossing; VIP Bazar station is the closer one for Anandapur.
