About Nazrul Mancha
Nazrul Mancha is a 2,400-seat auditorium on the northern side of Rabindra Sarobar, near Golpark, named after the poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. It is best known as the home of the Dover Lane Music Conference, the Indian classical music festival held on four consecutive nights each January, where recitals run through the night until dawn. For the rest of the year it is one of South Kolkata's busiest halls for college fests, Bengali band shows, film-music concerts and award nights. Pete Seeger performed here in 1996 and the Finnish band Poets of the Fall in 2012, and the singer KK gave his final concert here on 31 May 2022.
