Things to do in Salt Lake Sector V

Sector V is Kolkata's original IT district, a grid of office towers at the eastern end of Salt Lake. On weekdays it runs on tech meetups, startup events, co-working talks and after-work bars and breweries around College More and RDB Boulevard. On weekends families come for Nicco Park, the 40-acre amusement park that opened in 1991, its Wet-O-Wild water park and the boating at Nalban next door. The Green Line terminates at Salt Lake Sector V, about 20 minutes' walk from the park gate. An Orange Line station called IT Centre, linked by a footbridge, was in trial runs in October 2026 with passenger services targeted for late December.
