New Year's Eve 2026 in Kolkata: Parties to Ring in 2027

New Year's Eve 2026 falls on a Thursday, and Kolkata has two very different ways to spend it. The free one is Park Street: the Christmas lights are still up, the street is closed to vehicles for the evening, and tens of thousands of people simply walk it until midnight under heavy police deployment. The ticketed one is a party. The five-star hotels along Park Street, Alipore, the EM Bypass, Salt Lake and New Town sell gala dinners and ballroom nights with a DJ or a live band; clubs and lounges on Park Street, Camac Street, Sector V and in the malls run cover-charge nights; and the city's social clubs hold members' balls. Restaurants offer set menus in two seatings. Families often choose Eco Park, a hotel dinner or a housing-society party instead. Tickets appear from early December and prices rise in tiers as the date approaches, with couple entry and stag entry priced differently and some events restricted to couples.
