About Avani Riverside Mall
Avani Riverside Mall in Shibpur was the first mall in Howrah district when it opened in 2011 and is still its largest. It has around 200 national and international brands across seven anchor stores, a food court and a four-screen PVR multiplex with 1,186 seats, the chain's first in eastern India. The mall also has indoor and terrace banquet spaces used for weddings, exhibitions and private events. In 2014 it became the first mall in the country to receive the Indian Green Building Council's platinum award for energy conservation. For Howrah residents it is the default venue for film releases, festive shopping events and children's activities without crossing the river.
