About Top Cat CCU
Top Cat CCU is Kolkata's home-grown comedy club, inside the Offbeat CCU backpackers' hostel on Topsia Road. It began in 2021 as the Top Cat Retired Comedy Club, launched over a single weekend of four sold-out shows, with the writer and former comic Sourav Ghosh as executive producer. The venue now covers comedy, music and other arts and has a live-streaming studio; coverage of the club describes rooms of about 150, 50 and 30 seats and a small rooftop used for open mics. Listings in September 2026 showed line-up nights, late-night shows and a comedy duo format, with tickets from about ₹149. Expect local Bengali, Hindi and English comics as well as touring names testing material.
