Things to do in Rabindra Sadan & Victoria

The corner of AJC Bose Road and Cathedral Road is Kolkata's cultural core. Rabindra Sadan, Sisir Mancha, the state film centre Nandan and the Academy of Fine Arts stand within a few minutes' walk of one another, staging Bengali theatre, film screenings, recitals and art exhibitions almost every evening, with tickets usually sold at the counters. Nandan has been the home of the Kolkata International Film Festival since the festival began. Across the road are the Victoria Memorial and its gardens, the Mohor Kunja park with its open-air stage, St Paul's Cathedral and the Birla Planetarium. Rabindra Sadan station on the Blue Line is under five minutes away on foot.
