Things to do in Dum Dum, Lake Town & Airport

The north-eastern edge of the city runs from Dum Dum junction along VIP Road and Jessore Road to the airport. Lake Town is the address that matters most in October: Sreebhumi Sporting Club builds one of the most-queued pandals in the state every year, often a replica of a famous monument, and the Dum Dum Park clubs nearby are regulars on art-pandal lists. Malls on Jessore Road and VIP Road cover everyday cinema and food. The Yellow Line opened between Noapara and Jai Hind station at the airport in August 2025, so the terminal is now reachable by metro with one change from the Blue Line.
